Acute Care/Physical Ailments

Our facility is equipped to handle everything from minor lacerations to more serious wounds needing stitches. For any laceration, stopping the bleeding by using direct pressure is a critical first step. Our staff can then determine the severity of the wound and provide proper treatment.

We also provide wound management services, including cleaning and replacing bandages, as well as removal of sutures per direction from your treating physician.

General drug screening and pre-employment drug screening are available at our facility without an appointment. Please bring all pertinent forms and documents for our staff to complete.

We provide the required services for pre-employment physicals, including drug screening, as well as detailed physicals required for school admission and participation in school sports activities.

For employment physicals we offer drug screening, TB testing, fingerprinting for (BCI and FBI) clearances. Please call to schedule the FBI and BCI (330-754-3217). Bring glasses if you use them and need an eye exam.

Please bring all required forms and paperwork to be completed by our staff.

This is an evolving situation. Please check back for updates regarding our services.

Vaccinations are crucial to your general health. Most have only mild side effects, such as soreness at the injection site or mild fever. You can receive the following vaccinations/shots at our facility:

  • Influenza (flu) vaccine – You are advised to receive this vaccine each year to prevent flu or at least lessen symptoms of the flu.
  • Tetanus shot – Tetanus shots are recommended every 10 years after the initial childhood series of shots. They also are recommended to prevent tetanus due to a serious injury, burn, or puncture wound that could become infected, especially if you are not certain when you received your last tetanus booster.

Visit our facility for any of the following:

  • Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) – Commonly in the lower urinary tract, this infection typically causes pain and burning. More severe infections can involve the upper tract, including the kidneys.
  • Abscess – Characterized by swelling and redness, an abscess is caused by bacteria and can occur anywhere in the body. Untreated they can spread and cause complications.
  • Corneal abrasion – This is a scratch on the eye, typically characterized by itching, burning or redness of the eye. Most corneal abrasions heal in 2-3 days, but treatment is advised if you experience a change in vision or sensitivity to light.
  • Pregnancy test
  • Treatment of STDs
  • Blood glucose testing
